3- Edx
edX is an American massive open online course provider created by Harvard and MIT. It hosts online university-level courses in a wide range of disciplines to a worldwide student body, including some courses at no charge. It also conducts research into learning based on how people use its platform. (Wikipedia)
Subject categories at Edx
edX is the trusted platform for education and learning. Founded by Harvard and MIT, edX is home to more than 20 million learners, the majority of top-ranked universities in the world and industry-leading companies.
As a global nonprofit, edX is transforming traditional education, removing the barriers of cost, location and access. Fulfilling the demand for people to learn on their own terms, edX is reimagining the possibilities of education, providing the highest-quality, stackable learning experiences.
edX courses also can be audited free or students can choose to receive a verified certificate for a small fee.
If you took a pre-packed set of courses, such as a Coursera Specialization or an edX Micromasters, you can simply list it on your Resume.
Edx certificates are costly, the reasons being the courses taught by top tier universities. There is no compromise on the quality of the content.
edX are higher quality in general, they are produced by colleges, where as Udemy courses are by normal people who has some skill in that area.
Thanks to technology, it is now possible to take any course online and learn any skill of interest. Gone are the days when a child only dreamt about becoming a doctor, engineer, or teacher. But now, sky is the limit.
